I want to be a member, how do I join?
Most of our projects have open membership, which means you can join at any time! Simply get in touch with our team to chat about which project you’d like to take part in, and we’ll help you book a free trial session.
Before attending, we’ll ask you to complete a quick online registration form — it only takes a few minutes.
For our Musical Theatre and Drama projects, it’s best to join when we announce our next auditions. Don’t worry — our auditions are friendly and inclusive. Everyone who auditions is offered a role, and in many cases, you can take part in a group audition rather than performing a solo. Fill in our enrollment form, or email info@thespian-arts.co.uk
How can I best prepare for an audition?
At the heart of everything we do is confidence building — it’s the foundation of a great performance and something we actively support in every session. The best way to prepare for an audition is to relax, be yourself, and have fun. We’re not looking for perfection — we’re looking for personality, enthusiasm, and a willingness to try new things. You don’t need to have previous experience or professional training. Simply come along with an open mind, a positive attitude, and a readiness to learn. If you’re auditioning for a Musical Theatre project, you might want to listen to songs from the show or listen to the character track on our auditions page and read a short section of the script if it’s available on the auditions page. Practice as much as you can as the more confident you are with your performance, the better you will perform in the auditions. Remember, auditions at Thespian Arts Theatre CIC are friendly and supportive — we want everyone to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived. Read more on this blog about audition confidence: how to prepare, perform, and handle knockbacks like a pro.

We are an asset-locked organisation, which means all our resources, equipment, and finances must stay within the community. If Thespian Arts Theatre CIC were ever to cease operations, our assets would be transferred to another charity, CIC, or charitable incorporated organisation (CIO).
While we can generate profits through our activities, all profits are reinvested into the community to fund creative opportunities, educational projects, and local arts development.
